Recruiting Profile: Josiah Bowie, Trinity baseball

Josiah Bowie started his high school career at Mechanicsburg high school, but since has transferred to Trinity high, where he's surrounded by a team that went to the PIAA Playoffs, finished second in their district, and played well throughout the year in the Mid Penn Capital. Josiah is an incoming senior at Trinity, as he looks to catch the eye of college recruiters and coaches.

Josiah has been playing baseball for the past 7 years, as he also wrestles for the Trinity Wrestling team. He was a co-rookie of the year on the Mechanicsburg Wildcats' wrestling team before transferring.

Aside from the mat or the diamond, Bowie holds a strong 4.0 GPA. He does volunteer work for the Camp Hill Challenger Baseball League. This is a league that I, myself volunteer for, and a great program for kids to play baseball that have special needs and challenges. When speaking about his relationships on his team, he said "most of my team mates just graduated because we had 6 seniors, but I like my coach a lot. It's my first year at Trinity, but he's a great coach."

Josiah notched Mid Penn Capital second team this season. He led the Shamrocks in Batting AVG, top 9 in the division in BA, and 20th in the Mid Penn in BA. His BA was listed at a .386, and he had 46 at-bats, 17 hits, 12 RBI's and 2 doubles.

In the off-season summertime, he plays for High Heat based out of Gettysburg, PA. Check out his highlights!
