Eli Pratt is a rising senior at Mechanicsburg high school. It's important to him to lead by example, and that's exactly what he'll need to do coming up for the Wildcats, as he'll be a senior and looking to lead them to further into the playoffs next season. He has a good relationship with teammates and coaches, and he knows he does a good job keeping them "calm and controlled."
As for on the diamond, well, the numbers speak for themselves. He batted second or third most of the year, and he finished with a .364 batting average. Adding to that, he also tallied 28 hits, 7 XBH, 16 RBI's and 14 runs total. His team, the Wildcats' finished the year as Mid Penn Champions, but ultimately finished their year in the first round of District 3 play against Lampeter Strasburg.
Speaking of Wildcats, he's involved with his mascot in more than one way. Eli volunteers for Operation Wildcat. With this, he provides clothes and other basic needs for families in need.
Even though Eli's been playing baseball for 12 years, it's not all he focuses on. In the classroom, he's got a 4.0 GPA, which lands him a spot on both the 1st Honor Roll, and the National Honor Society.
You can catch Eli in tournaments such as:
"In The Net" in Palmyra on July 21-25
"Lancaster Sweet Spot" on July 28-31
